Christmas in July

My Florida trip is over... for about a week or so I was really disappointed that I had nothing to plan for anymore. Then it dawned on me that I'll be moving back to Florida soon; very soon. I have SO much to plan. I have job interviews to set up before moving. An apartment to find - let alone think about decorating. School stuff, namely grants and loan set-up, to get in order. A car to buy. Really, I didn't think that moving back was going to be such a big deal. Clearly, I've underestimated the real world. Naive, yes. Ill prepared, not as much.
Since I've been thinking about coming home so much, and all that it curtails, I'm not letting myself be ill prepared. I want everything squared away before I even get in my yet-to-be purchased car, and therefore it's going to be. This is my newest outlook on life. I want to be organized. I want to be prepared. I don't want to procrastinate any longer. I'm going to make it happen.
I'm still going to be idealistic though. I'll never give that up. Today I'm dreaming about Christmas time in my new apartment. I realized that I am REALLY excited about decorating for the holiday season. I could be eating Ramen noodles and sitting on a milk crate, but my apartment is gonna look great come Christmas morning!
I am definitely going with a studio apartment. I've got a few picked out, and will be calling them within a few weeks or so. Because I'm choosing such a small apartment lifestyle, I figure I am going to need to be crafty with my choices. I don't need a bunch of stuff I am going to have to worry about storing the rest of the year, particularly a big bulky tree. That's where all these come in! It's easy to see why I am so excited right?

I think my favorite is the one with the snowflakes - I could just throw those out after December 25th. Add a few small ornaments, a set of lights and I am all set. As long as I can limit my decor to one storage tote, I'll be happy. The rest of the year I'll have great minimalist decor with the bare branches. Mmhmm, I get to cross holiday decorating off my check-list already. I lead a blessed life ♥
