Growing Up

I feel like an adult for the first time in my life. Granted, I’m only 20 years old, but I’m planning big things for myself, and researching to make informed decisions about those things.

With or without my best friend, I will be getting an apartment in Orlando this fall. I really do hope it’s with her, but I absolutely understand if it’s not. I’ve viewed and researched quite a few different apartments. If I am going to be living by myself, I’ve pinpointed a price range I am comfortable with and the ideal area. If I’ll be with Rachel, we’re looking for something between UCF and Disney. That’s really great for me, because UCF is where I’m eventually heading for school. I have narrowed amenities down to wants and needs, the latter finally taking higher priority.
Before I move back down to Florida, I’ll need a decent car. I wavered back and forth between getting one up here, or waiting till I get back down there. While I’d rather not spend the money to register one up here, then turn around and register it when I get to Florida, logically I can’t really make the move without it. All my things up here would have no way of being there. So I’ve started my car search. I’d like to not spend any more than $4,000 which with my new job, I can accumulate within 2 months or so. I’ve found a few that I definitely am interested in, which has given me a set of priorities I need in a vehicle. Good gas mileage is not up for discussion. At the most, I’ll be living about 30 minutes away from my work. It’s not within my budget to spend superfluous amounts on gas (well, more than we’re already being charged). I can’t drive a standard, so an automatic is another must. I’ll be transporting all my stuff down to O-Town via my new vehicle, so I’ll need something spacious enough for all my crap.
I’ll need to go into a dentist to confirm this for sure, but I’m highly leaning towards Lumineers. They are a type of veneers that do not require drilling down your original teeth. They have a lifetime of over 20 years. You can have all the work down within 2 visits. They are the perfect option for me I believe.
I’ve already put tons of research into a career as a Disney face character. I’ve already started on the steps needed to reach that goal. My life is coming together. It’s taken me forever to figure it out; honestly though, I’d not have it any other way. I’ll be so much more proud of all my achievements at the end of the road.
I’ve even been thinking about long term careers. What I’d like to do after I graduate from college with my degree. I definitely know that I’d like to stage act for a while. I’m thinking still with Disney, perhaps on their cruise liners? Maybe I’d go to New York or London and try out my fortunes there? Then once I start settling down, I’d like to look into being a casting director for Disney. Maybe a high school drama teacher as well, doing whichever suits me better. I’m not really ready for those steps yet. I don’t want to get to far ahead of myself. But I do like that I’m possibly heading there…
