So I've heard it said somewhere, at some point in my life, by someone that everything we are and everything we hope to be is the product of something we've bought into.
I think that is so, superdeeduperly true that it's almost scary. Mainly because I've assessed if it fits in my life, and it definitely does. Everything I do is the product of something else. I move my lips when I read because I watched a movie once where this guy said he loved the way that the girl moved her lips when she read. I started doing it because I wanted someone to notice and love that about me, now I do whenever I read without thinking because I've been doing it for so long. It's almost like breathing to me. I'm pretty eclectic, I like a ton of different things. While this is definitely an attribute of my personality type, it's also definitely something I bought into at one point. I'm sure I watched a movie, or read a book where the heroine was into a ton of different things and I liked that trait a lot to I just sort of inducted it into my own preferences. Which brings up a much deeper question of whether or not we are products of nature or nurture; do we adapt to our environments or are our environments adapted to us? I don't have that answer for you, sorry. Personally, I think it's a little bit of both.
I just thought I'd share that with you all. Maybe you've heard it before, maybe you haven't - either way it's interesting to think about.
