Fortune Cookies

I'm one of those people who always saves the slips of paper inside of fortune cookies. I could probably make a scrapbook of nothing but my fortunes. I've always been fortunate enough to get good fortunes too. Lucky, lucky me. Even in times of extreme confusion, or even in times of distress I get good fortunes. Sometimes it's super annoying.

I've been eating a ton of Chinese food lately, probably not the best thing for someone who is trying to lose weight, but it's totally not my fault if my family keeps buying it right? If you agreed, then give yourself a pat on the back because that's what I thought too.

In order of appearance here are my last few fortunes:

You will have a party.

Stop searching forever, happiness is just next to you.

You will inherit a large sum of money.

A pleasant surprise is waiting for you.

Everything contains beauty. Not everyone can see it.

Learn from your mistakes. Try not to make them again.

No, these were not obtained over sequential nights in case you were wondering. Well so far, I haven't had a party, but I got that fortune right after making up my mind to go to Australia. I'm trying to stop the search for happiness, but it's really hard to fight something you have been taught by your environment from birth. I haven't inherited a large sum of money yet. This one was pretty funny because my mom got a fortune that said ''Great fortune is in your future.'' I read mine directly after that and held out my hand. I have no idea what pleasant surprise is waiting for me, but I sure do hope it's really pleasant. I think that I am fortunate enough to see the beauty in everything, but maybe that's another thing I need to strive for more. I really think that Rachel wrote this last fortune, it just sounds like something she said to me very recently. It's something I'm struggling with, trying to not make the same mistakes over and over again. We'll see how that works out.

Another really awesome thing about my fortunes is that they usually go great with that ''in the bed'' joke. If you don't know what that is, you simply add ''in the bed'' to the end of your fortune. Example: You will have a party - in the bed. A pleasant surprise is waiting for you - in the bed.
If you are anything like me you have added in the bed to the end of every fortune mentioned in this blog - even the one directly below in the picture. What can I say, I'm one lucky chick in the bed ;D
