"cough, cough. I'b sickh."
That's a very close representation of what it would be like to be here with me right now.
I've gotten the Flu one way or another and am down and out. I don't guess I've ever had the flu before, because I have never felt this sick.
It all started last night. I was in the kitchen getting a drink when I noticed it was difficult for me to swallow. I honestly didn't give much thought to it, I just thought that my throat was really dry.
But then, around 3 in the morning it set in.
At first I got REALLY cold. I got up to get an extra blanket. I was shivering so fiercely. Then I needed to go pee. So I got up to go to the bathroom and a wave of dizziness and fatigue overtook my body. I shivered some more while on the toilet (so ladylike of me to disclose these details, but I want to be accurate). I'm not sure how I made it back to my bed after that because THE WHOLE ROOM WAS SPINNING. I'm going to give muscle memory all the credit on that one I think.
When I got back into my bed and covered myself back up, the fever set in. It felt like the flames of Hell were licking at my skin. But no amount of fiery fever could make the chills cease.
I lay in sick misery feeling as though I was on my deathbed. Sleep would not come and lull my pain though. Of course not. I was far to weak to even think about attempting to get up, and due to my swollen throat (which felt sealed shut) I could not yell for the aid of my grandma.
I finally fell back to sleep around 5:30 this morning. When I woke up at 9:30 I felt the tiniest bit better; the chills had subsided and the room's whirling had finally culminated.
I got up, weakly, and went to my grandmother who then played nurse until it was time to go to work.
Due to this unreasonable sickness of mine, I'm putting a pause on all blogging activities until I am better. This means no more daily phenoms. But I will make the ones I have missed up once I resume my full health.
