I'm tan. Not orange like Snooki, but legitimately tan. I love living in Florida.
This weekend was awesome. Really, really awesome. Friday I went and filled out a few applications with my Nanny. Then I rented 500 Days of Summer (btw, favorite movie ever now!). Before I watched it I layed out in my backyard. I really love my backyard. While I was laying out I read this month's Vanity Fair, which, as you should know by now, is my favorite magazine. I got a call Friday evening from a place where I filled out an application to come and interview the following morning.
I went to bed around 9 after watching the movie. I woke up around seven yesterday morning, knowing that I had an interview and that it was going to be another beautiful day in Florida. I messed around for a little bit before taking a shower and getting dressed and doing my hair and make-up for my interview. Then I went, and probably did the best interview in the history of the world. I'm confident I'll have the job, the boss lady really seemed to love me!
After wards we stopped by SuperTarget (which really is Super) to pick up a few things we needed. After I got home and disclosed all the wonderful details of the day to my mother I got ready to go lay out in the backyard again. My mother and Nanny got ready and came back there with me, and my wonderful, faithful little pug Rudy was right there in the mix as well. After laying out for about an hour I had to come in because I was over heating. Bring It On: In It To Win It was on. I had never seen it before, so I watched it. I was impressed, I thought it was really cute. Plus it takes place at Universal Studios in Orlando, so it was fun to watch. After it was over I went back outside to resume my sun-bathing. Like my opening line of this post states, I am tan now, and I am looking oh so good. After I finished tanning, I came in and made a scrumptious dinner with my Nanny. After dinner, I had an awesome heart to heart with my mother. It was really good. Like really, really good.
My reason for this post was not to inform you of the events of this weekend though. I had a thought last night as I went to sleep: this is your life. Sure, there is a whole future ahead of you. But stop yearning for that so much and take the time to enjoy this moment.
I've always had trouble with that. I don't pay too much attention to the moment I am in because well, I'm always yearning for the next. But what if I stopped and enjoyed every moment as it was happening?
