Hundreds of people order dresses online every day right? Hundreds of people get their dress, and it's the dress they order right? SO why is it that my mother did NOT get the wedding dress she ordered from Inweddingdress.com?
Let me furhter that, we got the dress that's for sure. But the entire garment is a disasster. Let me list the multidinous problems it came with for you.
1. It, in no way shape or form, looks nothing like the dress they picture on the site. The length is entirely wrong, being far to short. It's flowy and ephmereal looking in the picture that they show. On, it looks like a kindergaten student took some scissors to the hemline.
2. It's not even white. When ordering the dress, you were given the option to order in white, light ivory, or ivory. We definitely recieved a light ivory dress. The fabric is chiffon, I know chiffon comes in pure white.
3. It isn't even in perfect condition. A brand new dress should arrive pristine. One of the seams along the horrendous hemline is completely coming apart. As if that weren't enough, there is fraying of the chiffon along the zipper closure and along not one, but BOTH of the straps! Even worse, the beading in the bodice is coming off. For a company that assures inspection of the dresses before shipment, it sure does seem that they've overlooked some LARGE promlems.
4. The dress is far too large on. The straps are too loose, causing the dress to sit lower on the chest than it should. Not only that, but it's about 3 1/2 inches too large around.
5. The packaging it showed up in is not at all unlike the packaging I recieved my graduation cap and gown in. That is completely unacceptable for such an expensinve, and important purchase as a wedding dress.
The company has been sent an email, requesting a refund on the dress or at least a new one in the right color and without any of it's current problems. We've got no response from them yet. I somehow doubt we are going to either.
Lesson learned? Exercise extreme caution in ordering a product from this company. Also, you probably shouldn't order a dress online.
