1. When I die, I want to have a paddle out. A while back I wrote an extensive blog about funeral arrangements and what I would like. I realize that that was probably one of the weirdest blogs ever to flow the the fingertips of a blogger. Since then I honestly haven't thought about it that much. I don't sit here and think about my funeral arrangements every minute, that would be even more weird. But I've been watching tons of surfing movies lately, and I was just browsing through the Facebook photos of an old acquaintance who had a friend pass on. In these movies, and for this friend of a friend they had paddle outs. Now I am not a surfer, by any stretch of the imagination. (Though I will at some point in the next 2.74 years take a lesson.) But there is just something I like about the thought of being released into the sea after my death. I love the beach, really I do. Possibly even more than I love Disney World. So, to whosoever shall plan my arrangements - A paddle out is definitely what I want.2. Today I had to start a lot of the items on my list. Numbers 20, 25, 72, 77, and 100 have officially began. I put on AOL radio, set it to the Best of '09 and boogied away today. It was fantastic. I'm pretty out of shape though because after about twenty minutes I was DONE. I was lying in bed this morning, I don't remember my exact train of thought but it probably had something to do with going over everything I was supposed to do today. I sat up and was just about to put my feet on the ground when I remembered Item 25. Begin and end each day with prayer. I layed back down for about a minute or so and prayed to God. While praying I realized that I can't remember the last time I actually prayed or ever a time when I began the day with a prayer. It made me a little sad, but this list is about giving myself a better quality of life so I cheered right up and went on my way. For item number 72, I still have one glass of water to drink to fulfill the daily servings of water for today. I love water, so this item is really not a problem. I just knew that I wasn't getting enough before, so now I am making sure of that. Item 77 is blog about each item before and after completing it. Technically I am blogging about these after I have already started them, but it still totally counts. I probably won't talk about them again until after the next 1000 days is over. 100 was to speak words of affirmation at least once a day. I commented to my mother how pretty she looks in her new rain jacket. The colors do wonders for her complexion. So these items at least have been officially begun.
3. I have six things to do before the end of January. Reading a new book is almost complete, I'll tell you all about it once I am done reading it. I have two books of the Bible to read -Genesis and Exodus. Gotta get on that like now. I need to make a new friend - Myspace here I come. I think I'll buy my lotto ticket tomorrow, since it's Saturday and there's a drawing and all. Need to go get Madi. I think I will take her to a used bookstore and then out for ice-cream. Pictures will be taken. I'll find a verse tonight, and apply it to my life starting tomorrow. I will definitely tell you all about that one. That's all six. Sounds like I have a busy next few days. Oh I also have to spend an entire day not complaining about something. I'll try for tomorrow.
4. I also have weekly things that need to happen. Because I started on a Thursday my weeks will be between Thursdays. I need to prayer journal, which I will not be telling you all about for obvious reasons. I also need to list three things for which I am grateful. Two birds with one stone? I'm thinking so. I'll let you know the three things though.
5. Totally forgot to mention that I can't cut my hair for the next 1000 days. It's going to get long. I'm excited.
6. It is COMPLETELY ridiculous that by the end of January I will probably have more posts than I did for 2009. To be fair though I started blogging in October though, and well I had more of a life then. This year will pick up soon and I won't have time for so many posts. Relish them while you can.
That is all. Good night from yours truly ;D
