Well...

I didn't have a clever title for this current blog. I am sitting in front of my computer at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night. I am sitting alone in my house. Funny things start to occur when I am alone. I do things that other people might consider a little bit... odd at best. Like make pictorials of what I want for my wedding someday. Yeah, I admit it I'm guilty. But hey, at least I can entertain you by putting the pictorial up. I'll explain after each section. This is the wedding that I blogged about a while ago. Hope you enjoy...
THE BRIDE
That's the dress up above there, I couldn't get it to cooperate with the rest of the pics so I just decided to leave it be. It's by Elizabeth Darcy. She has a real flair for very sweet and romantic gowns. The only alteration that I will have made to this gown is to have a moonstone sown into the back of it on the inside. It is a tradition of the Indian cultures to do this. It is supposed to promote fertility, which I will one day need. Also it is going to be my something blue. I don't have the old, borrowed, or new figured out yet.
Just below here is all the rest of the bridal wear. Going in a clockwise manner starting from the top left [I will do this for all of the pictures], this is how I want my hair. Very sweet and not fussy at all. Also very out of my face, I want everyone to see that bridal glow. Rachel Bilson models the makeup style I am going for. Very fresh and natural, nothing too much, but the eyes are definitely emphasized. The shoes [if any] are these small little beaded Indian flats. The wedding will take place in the grass, so no heels allowed. Plus I am a bit of a klutz in them so they really aren't ideal if I want to make it down the aisle without falling over. These shoes really compliment the dress anyways. The necklace is a choker from the Immortal Line by Raven Eve. The bracelet is pearl accented with crystal beads. This bouquet is an arrangement of black magic roses [center], french vanilla marigolds, and black dahlias [outer ring].

THE MEN
I'm not the most traditional when it comes to suits. I hate bow ties more than any other accessory ever. I'm not quite sure what it is about them, but they just irk me. So the men will wear a very dark charcoal ensemble with white dress shirts. No boutonnieres really, unless they want them, and honestly I don't think any of them will care too much. The pants are tight, but not too tight. The perfect tightness.I really like the look of the vests closed with the sleeves rolled up. There is something very loose and laid back about it, which is an underlying theme of this wedding. Loose formality is what I am calling it. Because it is still formal, it's not casual by any means whatsoever, but there's a raw edge of chill in the atmosphere. Onto their shoes. Well I absolutely loved the grooms shoes, they are Italian leather. TDF [that means to die for]!!! I coordinated the styles of the rest of the shoes with the styles of the bridesmaid each groomsmen will be paired with. They both go in order from left to right. I also coordinated the ties with each dress. The grooms tie doesn't have any pink because I won't be wearing any pink.

THE BRIDESMAIDS
I am absolutely in love with all three of these dresses.
I love that they are all completely different, yet still compliment each other somehow. That's how I think my future maids will be. They will all be very, very, very different, but we will all be sisters. The first two can be found on Polyvore. The third is one that I designed myself by compiling different pieces together. Did I mention that I love the colors of these dresses, they are all a slightly different shade of pink, but they aren't a sickening pink. I'm very much a fan of the colors.
Each maid will carry a different type of bloom from my bouquet. The dahlias for the first dress, the marigolds for the middle one, and the roses for the end. Now I haven't always been a fan of gold. But these gold flats are again TDF. Each is very different, but they compliment their assigned dress and they compliment each other. Gold accessories for the girls. These all have a very rock chick vibe about them and make the dresses a little less sweet I think. The only thing that will be the same about my bridal party is their hair. Since mine is down, I want theirs up, and I just love the effortlessness of this bun.

THE CEREMONY
I want it in a garden and at night. This is sort of the type of garden I was going for. I want the grass to look very plush like it does in this picture. Clearly this garden has some sort of maintenance going for it, but it isn't completely manicured. Which I like, it compliments the loose formality of the whole thing. I want it to be a very intimate ceremony. No more than about 50 guests. It would be set up like a traditional wedding, chairs on either side of the aisle. I want very quaint sidewalk cafe style chairs, with pads on them of course so the guests won't get uncomfortable. I want little twinkle lights strung up in a very chic way, and not too many of them. Just enough to provide a little bit of a brighter light than the candle light. Which there will be loads of. I want votives hanging from the trees, and candles lining the aisle. Tons of candles every where. Again, done in a chic and sophisticated way. The pictures give you the idea.

THE RECEPTION
Sticking completely with the romantic, starry night, candlelitness [not a real word, but totally fits the situation], loose formality of the rest of the wedding thus far, the reception is going to be a PARTAAAAAAY!!!!! Still outside under the star filled sky, and still in a garden. More twinkle lights on the trees, more candles as all the centerpieces on the tables. I was looking up different pictures for this and the Twelfth Night kept coming up. That is sort of the look I am going for, but I would actually call it more Midsummer's Night Dream though. Only to be more accurate. I like the picture on the right of the first dance. I like because I love the flowers hanging down. I would love to have the dance area [I would say floor, but there won't be floor, the whole wedding will be done in the grass] under some wisteria, but not too much because I want the sky visible. The little table is what I am thinking for the tables. Sans linens. I don't want them, they don't go with the loose formality and they do not compliment the venue, but most importantly I'll save lots of money by switching to Geico. Just kidding. Money isn't a factor in this wedding, because so far, not too much has been spent hahaha. I want to do lots of DIY projects for it, it'll be fun and it is very my style. I like the little picture frame thing. I'm thinking of doing the thing were each table represents a different time from each mine and my groom's life, starting to have pictures of both of us once we ''meet.'' I saw that done in another wedding and really fell in love with the romance and sweetness of it. The cake is this red and silver and black star cake you can see. I don't want a traditional white wedding cake. I don't like people standing on top of the cake. I love that each layer is so very different but it all goes together [hmmm another underlying theme in this wedding I believe]. The grooms cake is luggage. The artistry of cakes has grown so much over the past decade or so. Pastry chefs/ cake artisans [tomato, tomahto right?] can do some amazing things with cakes these days. I love having the groom's cake as luggage, especially if it looks real like it does in this picture, because it is so symbolic of setting out on the journey of life together. Plus we will be avid adventurists/travelists, so it just kind of fits the mold of who we are.

THE REHEARSAL
You thought I was only thinking about the actual wedding itself??? Silly you, you don't know me at all then. Once I get started on the wedding thing I go the whole nine yards with the planning. For the rehearsal I want something very laid back and informal. I love the artsy vibe of these outfits. They really suit my husband and I's personalities. I want the rehearsal dinner to just be the immediate family [i.e. my mother and his parents] and the wedding party. I want to have a backyard bbq sort of thing. With a little RockBand and Wii playing. Just very fun and laid back. My accessories are on the top row, I will wear my hair very simple like the style Mandy is sporting so graciously here. Sick boots and an ace cuff complete my boho/artsy/rocker vibe. More Italian leather for my man. I love how I am already picking out his outfits and shoes. He will have a very cool man bracelet on, like these leather chords and chains shown. An awesome belt goes without mentioning of course.

THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY
You thought my obsession with planning this distant event ended with the wedding day and the rehearsal dinner? Have you not learned anything about me by now? Well I have the engagement party planned out as well. Traditionally the bride nor groom have nothing to do with the planning of the engagement party. It is up to a close friend/group of friends or the parents to plan and host this event. So knowing that I won't be able to host it I can at least make it very clear [if it is not already been made clear to them by our personalities] what I want. I want I very sophisticated, chic cocktail party. Little hors d'ouvres passed around on trays, and flowing champagne. I think these outfits really set the mood for what I have in my minds eye. I love this dress, I can't remember where I found it. More than likely on Polyvore once again. But my goodness, it's just super fabulous. Loving this suit for him. Plays into the whole tight style that I really like. Also these shoes were already TDF, in fact the whole entire ensemble is TDF including the man who is modeling it, so I didn't need to add anything to his look. I love this hairstyle that Jessica Alba is wearing here. It's so elegant, yet effortless [a theme strikes again] and it really suits the style of the dress. Loving the rosary inspired necklace. Can't remember the designer, but it was on a site very similar to Raven Eve's [a fore mentioned, credited with the bridal choker]. SHUT THE EFF UP about these shoes. They are TKF [to kill for]. They can be found on Modcloth, nearly everything on that website is either TDF or TKF. These shoes really complete the entire look of the couple.

Ok, well that's it. I'm done geeking out over my wedding now. I've probably let you know more than I ever cared to, in this one blog, about myself. I will have very sweet dreams when I go to sleep tonight. I'm praying for my husband every night now. I can't wait for us to meet. He's going to love the fact that I already have this wonderful wedding planned out for us hahaha. If he doesn't, well too bad. He doesn't really get a say. Lol, jk... well maybe.
